Request deletion

Email hello@checkahome.co.uk from your account email address with the subject “Delete my account”. If you cannot access that mailbox, explain this so we can arrange proportionate identity verification. Do not send a password or payment-card details.

You can delete individual saved homes in the app. For account deletion or a broader personal-data request, use the email route above. Signing out stops account backup but does not delete your account or previously backed-up data.

What deletion covers

We will remove the account and associated saved homes, profile and search history, and personal information no longer required for a lawful purpose. Scan photos stay on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. Delete the local report to remove its photo from the app. Provider-held records and backup copies are subject to the retention and deletion arrangements described in the privacy notice.

What may remain

Paid-call logs and caches are normally retained for approximately 60 days. Limited purchase and accounting records may need to be retained for applicable statutory periods. Records necessary for a legal claim, security investigation or other lawful obligation may also need to be retained for the relevant period. We will explain any applicable exception in our response.

Timing and consequences

We normally respond within one month. Where a lawful extension or exception applies, we will explain it. Deletion removes access to reports linked to your account; save an available report export first. Uninstalling the app does not by itself delete an account.
